We invite you to be a World Vision sponsor and make a world of difference for
a struggling child. As a sponsor, you'll help remove the obstacles that poverty
places in children's paths - and you'll enable them to realize their God-given
potential. What may seem like a simple relationship is really the beginning of
something much bigger.
The Joy of Child Sponsorship
Jesus loves children and he calls us to welcome them like He does. More than
two million people around the world have welcomed children into their hearts
through World Vision child sponsorship. As a child sponsor, you are connected
with one special child who will know your name, write to you and feel your tender
love and prayers - a constant reminder to them of God's love. The sponsor feels
the joy of knowing that their open arms are welcoming more than a child - they
are welcoming Christ himself.
What Sponsorship Provides Your Child
Your child sponsorship monthly pledge of $30 will provide a child with basic
needs like nutritious food, clean water, an education, health care, spiritual
nurture, practical life skills, vocational training, and more. Our experience
has shown that the most effective way to create lasting change is to strengthen
the entire community in which they live. Your gifts are combined with gifts
from other sponsors in the same community to provide what is needed most with
the goal to see these families reach a point where they no longer need outside
assistance, bringing about a better life for your sponsored child, his community,
and future generations as well.
Hope Children
For just $35 a month you can sponsor a HopeChild in African countries and other
countries around the world to help turn the tide of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. In
addition to the above, you can provide things such as: care for sick or dying
parents, HIV/AIDS counseling and health care which promote Christian values
of abstinence and fidelity which are age appropriate, and more. Our partnership
with local churches enables us to more effectively reach those in need with
trained volunteers to look after children's emotional, physical, and spiritual
needs.
